Bring Back Cadbury's WISPA Campaign (aubern, January 10, 2005, 7:42 pm)
Dear everyone
I am starting a campaign to get Cadbury to bring Wispa back! Please help! I have a small mention on my site (www.aubern.com/main.html), with a link to Cadbury's feedback webpage. PLEASE, if you feel strongly about Wispa's demise and the monstrous replacement that is Dairy Milk Bubbly, please contact them! Look at it like this...the next thing to go could be Twirl or Flake, and I am NOT going to buy Dairy Milk Crumbly or Dairy Milk Twig-like. Please, make your voice heard!
Thanks
JB

Day Eighteen (aubern, December 23, 2004, 12:47 am)
Probably my final entry here until after Christmas...bit remiss of me, really...but in 2005 I'll be a lot more constant and regular. Probably get some All Bran. You know, the other day a very strange thing happened to me. I was out Christmas shopping, pushing and jostling my way through the crowded streets of Exeter and suddenly I had this overwhelming feeling of love...love for all the people around me. They were all out, busily fighting queues to buy presents for the people they cared about, the people who figure greatly in their lives. And I couldn't shake this feeling of love for my fellow man. It was actually very moving. It's since passed, unfortunately, not least because of a chap at work who is absolutely doing my nut. I've never in all my life come across someone with such a propensity for whining and moaning about the same thing day in, day out. However, the fact I go each day without thumping his stupid face is surely evidence that my humanity hasn't lessened in his wake.

To anyone reading this, I wish you a very merry Christmas, and I hope our paths cross in the new year.

Day Seventeen (aubern, December 21, 2004, 9:39 pm)
Little...little TINY bit behind...lots to tell you. The other day I bought some new de-icer for the car, and then discovered I already had some.

Day Five (aubern, December 9, 2004, 10:50 pm)
Well, I've got a four day weekend! Kiss my face! Apologies, dear reader, for missing so much time. You haven't missed much. Nothing at all, forsooth. Tonight the wife and I had a curry. It was a rather nice experience, as the bloke taking our order knew us by name and anticipated what we wanted. I think it's a special moment in a person's life when a regular eatery knows their usual order. There's a cafe in Sidmouth called The Chattery, whose manager (Gary) is a splendidly nice chap and always knows I will be ordering a tuna mayonnaise baguette. A girl used to work there, name of Sarah. She was lovely. Sadly I never got to know any more about her than that. She's gone now. I wonder where she went and what became of her. Anyway, I had my curry (chicken tikka masala, pilau rice and a garlic naan for anyone who's interested) and am now retiring for some quality writing time before bed. I also met my dearest friend Cherith on MSN tonight (my address is definitelydefinity@hotmail.com for anyone wishing to meet me there!), where we battled a number of important intellectual topics including bras and...I think that was it. She's ace, you'd like her. Right, that's your lot, I'm signing off. Good night. And in case I don't see you - good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, good night, good morning, good afternoon, good evening and good night. That's in case I miss another four days.

Day One...Act Three (aubern, December 5, 2004, 9:26 pm)
Hi all! Many thanks to everyone who's left comments on my previous wibs...it's much appreciated! I'd contact you personally, but nobody left any details...if anyone could stand to be contacted, that would be splendid and tremendous! Nice to see another Quantum Leap fan out there...the memory lives on! Hurrah! I'd forgotton just how much I love it, actually. Last night was a reminder! And as for the A-Team, a few points stuck me about that, most of which occured to me this afternoon while I was cooking the roast and juggling vegetables (figuratively), not the least of which was that nobody ever gets killed, even though thousands of bullets are flying around 90% of the time. And it left me wondering (in a Sex and the City way)...does BA get drugged EVERY week? Ho hum. I wish you all a pleasant eve.

As for me, well, I ain't goin on no plane with that Murdock, he got the jazz, sucka!

Day One...John Nil (aubern, December 5, 2004, 1:32 pm)
Well, it's a little later in the day and things are really starting to go off...I just catalogued my DVD collection, and am now contemplating lunch. Have been chatting with Neil just now, and I heartily recommend a trip to his slightly random wiblog..."Neil's Slightly Random Wiblog". Oh, and thanks to Chris for setting this all up for me. Much obliged.

Day One (aubern, December 5, 2004, 12:39 pm)
Well, I just started my wiblog. Good, isn't it? Perhaps a little light on material, but that will no doubt change as soon as something happens...so here's a run down of today. Let me see...I was woken by my lovely wife, who was brandishing a bowl of Ready Brek. So after rubbing sleep from my eye and patting down my morning hair, I headed downstairs to add some sugar (to the Ready Brek). Once there, I found myself unable to resist the hypnotic charms of washing up. So I did that. I still haven't opened the days on my Advent calendar, which I bought yesterday afternoon, and which now holds 5 overdue chocolates. Am toying with the possibility of leaving them all for Christmas day. That about brings us up to date. Yesterday was Sidmouth's second illuminated carnival in as many months (same floats as last time, but the people on them were this time sporting santa hats), after which I was approached by a drunk who informed me that Sidmouth was f$%$ing sh$*. Thus enlightened, Bird and I headed home for tea and in her case evening telly, and in my case the episodes of The A-Team and Quantum Leap I got free on some DVD magazine. Splendid. That's all. More to follow...
