What a difference a week makes (albert, 22.05.04)
WE HAVE SOLD THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The couple who were first time buyers as previously mentioned, put in a sensible offer which we accepted and we heard yesterday that they have been approved their mortgage and it is all systems go!!!!!!! We have spent the today going through the loft and sorting boxes. Monday night heralds a meeting with the guy we are buying off (private sale and family friend) to discuss exactly what he is leaving in the house so we know how much space we will have and how much furniture we need to get rid of.
And we had quite a few trips down memory lane too. Found hillock's nursery report with photos and work from when he was there (ahhhh). Mr Hils found some of his old school books and then we found our wedding cards. Quite sad really as there were lots of cards from people who have now seperated or passed away.
So that is a bit of sorting done, need to gather more energy to tackle whatever is next!!!

Love the house but............................................ (albert, 15.05.04)
This is the phrase that is ringing in our ears at the moment as the house is not sold as yet. We have been on the market for just over a month and had a fair few viewings. The trouble is the agents keep giving us the feedback that no one wants the house as they either dont want to live on a estate or they don't like the area. Yesterday was a prime example, we had a lady booked in for 4.45 and I had taken a bit of time off work so that I would be home in time, we then saw the lady (you can tell who they are easily) pull up outside the house, look at the agents info, look at the house to check it was the right one and then drive off!!!!! I was livid, that is just so rude. Needless to say I did phone the agent and made sure they knew of her actions! We have another one this morning who would be ideal as they are first time buyers so they don't have a chain either.
Other than that, not a lot has happened really, apart from little hils has started learning the French Horn and it is nearly bigger than him! I have to take it to a friend who lives spitting distance from the school and get her to take it in for him and bring it back for me to collect as he can't carry the thing. He gets a lovely note out of it which I am sure most of the neighbours can hear!
Thats all for now but I will try and not leave it so long next time before I wiblog!

Is it really that long!!!!!!! (albert, 29.03.04)
Has it really been a whole month since I updated this! Either I have been very busy or I am getting incredibly lazy. Now I have the difficult task of trying to remember what I have been up to in that month and try and find something interesting to say!
Mainly life has plodded along at a steady un-eventful pace. The house is looking good and we have a battle plan of what we are doing with each weekend in the getting ready to sell stakes. The estate agents have been booked ready for valuing so by 16th April we should be on the market (scary).
Tomorrow sees my parents Ruby Wedding so at Easter we are heading off to the Lake District for their party. It will be nice to have a change of scenery and we are staying in a B&B to avoid all the manicness of my folks house so that will be nice too.
This is the last week of term at school so I am having 2 lovely weeks off and will be able to catch up on some much needed sleep as well as spending more time on the house, not to mention some quality time with the little one. So watch this space for more details on the selling of the house!

The start of the end (albert, 28.02.04)
Well we are really making some progress now. We are preparing the house for selling and getting ready to move thr great distance of 3 doors down the road! There is method in our madness it is because the one along the road has had a big groundfloor extension and we will be living there with hubby's father. So we have now stripped the toilet ready for re papering, well I say we, actually he has done the hard work and all I have done is climb the ironing mountain and conquer that!!!
Had my 6 month review at work yesterday so that I could come off probation. It went really really well and the Head Teacher seemed very pleased with me and I was able to tell her how happy I was with the school and really enjoying my job. Not many people can say that so I know I am very lucky and I thank God for that.
Well tonight is baby sitting night. Spending a few hours playing with the most adorable 2 year old girl. Gonna get a take out and pig out in front of the TV whilst hoping number one (and only) son amuses the baby!!!

Here we go again (albert, 19.02.04)
I have just got back from spending a few days in Devon with friends. I braved the driving with just my 9yr old as co pilot and headed off on Monday for sunny Exeter. By the time I awoke Tuesday morning I had tonsilitis! Despite feeling like death warmed up I had to carry on for my sons sake so we still did all we had planned to do and as long as took plenty of pain killers I got through it all. We really did have a great time and the weather was kind too, chilly but dry is probably the best way to describe it.
So today I am home again and have tomorrow and the weekend to try and recover ready for work on Monday.
Lots of early nights, painkillers and anti-biotics I think.

All bunged up (albert, 05.02.04)
I am of course talking about my nose and not any other part of my body! I have been off work for 3 days with a flu type cold thingy. So it is 3 dyas of trashy daytime TV for me and lots of zzzzzzzzzz's, not to mention a little time on the ol' net.
Finally managed to win little h a gameboiy advance on ebay today so something constructive has happened whilst being off. He was so pleased he even tidied his room without any fuss!!!!! Blackmail is wonderful.
He needed to do it anyway as we are going to be contacting agents soon to get the hosue valued and onto the market before too long so hopefully he has set a good example to us taht we might follow. We want to have a big clear out anyway as they are having a charity bring and buy at church next weekend so we can offload lots of things to a good cause, just hope they don't give us it all back if they don't sell it!!!!!

Um... can't think of a suitable title! (albert, 27.01.04)
So another weekend is behind us and already the week is manic and it is only Tuesday.
Mind you the weekend was a bit hectic too. Went to a mates housewarming in Eastleigh and had a great time.
Then of course church on Sunday but opps I forgot to go on Sunday evening!
School Monday was fun as the boiler has packed up so it was a tad cold.
Went to the GP tonight to try and get this tiredness sorted and the bloods have all come back clear as has the 'other' sample so his advice was to exercise more. Please someone tell me how I am meant to exercise when I am working full time, knackered and also trying to keep the house going??????!!!!!!?????

Another day (albert, 22.01.04)
So here we are again, another normal day in Hils land. School ( am a classroom assistant) was school. 27 year 2's in the computer suite isn't my idea of fun though!
Allow me to intrduce myself to those who have asked. I am a 31 year old mum of a 9 year old boy, hereafter known as Hillock. I am married to a wonderful guy to be known as D.J. We have been married for 11 years and apart from hillock have a pet samoyed known as Sophie. So now you know all about me, well all you are going to know anyway.
Picked hillock up after school and then popped to see a friend and her baby who has got chicken pox, just hope I don't get shingles.
Oh well only one more day till the weekend - YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

First of many! (albert, 21.01.04)
So this is my wiblog, and this is my first entry.
Today has been a normal work day with no real highlights to tell of.
The only variation on a normal day was a trip to the hospital in my lunch break to have a blood test done. This will hopefully find a reason to my constant tiredness.
Quite how I managed to get from work to the hosp, have the test done and back to work in an hour and still have time to eat I dunno but I did!!!
